Most Rev. John Kobina Louis, PhD

Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Accra, Ghana

Ordained a priest in 1992 and consecrated bishop on April 19, 2023, Bishop Louis brings over three decades of pastoral, academic, and administrative ministry to his preaching. He holds a PhD in the Study of Religions from the University of Ghana and an STL in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome.

Author of several volumes of The Word in Season and out of Season — homilies for every Sunday and solemnity across the three-year liturgical cycle. His preaching is marked by clarity, warmth, deep Scriptural grounding, and a passion for making the Gospel accessible to all.
